I have been
involved with dogs since I was ten years old. My first dog - well my Mom's first Labrador for her breeding program attached
herself to me - "Designer Genes" was the foundation for Designer Labradors. I started showing dogs at a young
age, some of my mom's dogs and some others as well including Inisfree Siberians. I also worked for a veterinary hospital
while in High School.
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to have worked for some of the
best dog show handlers in the business. Thanks to Paul and Jean Edwards who taught me about the Standard Poodle I now
have fun in the Non Sporting Group with some wonderful Poodles. Nancy Scholz from Manora Labradors and Schipperke was
my mentor as well as my mom's. I now show her Labradors and Schipperkes. I had the honor and privlegde on showing
one of her Schips - Gates - who was the number one Schipperke in Canada in 2008.
I have experience showing dogs of many breeds,
from all of the groups.
