More Accomplishments

Nicky went to a DockDogs National event Sept 8th and 9th and earned his Junior Jumper title.  His longest jump 14' 6", and placed in his class! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Designer's Topaz is such a clown!  While being shown toward her championship her favorite trick was to roll over and belly up just as the judges were getting ready to examine her!  Keeping her on all fours was a difficult task.  She managed to finish her Canadian Championship thanks to patient judges!  She always made everyone laugh!  Topaz is now retired and lives with Gina and her family. Topaz also won Best of Opposite Sex at age 13 from the veterans sweepstakes class at the Pioneer Valley Labrador Specialty Show in 2009.  Thank you Gina and Greg for giving her such a wonderful retirement home and for letting me take her to the show.  She had so much fun being a show dog again; her tail wagged all day long!

Tymer was also a very fun dog.  He finished his Canadian Championship undefeated! He won several Best of Breeds in the states and also won a Group placement. Tymer was in a TV comercial for a German chocolate bar company.  We spent two days at the shoot.  Below are a few pictures of him with his actress.  There were ducks swimming off the end of the dock and when Tymer couldn't stand it for another minute, the director gave me the ok to release him. In a split second he was off for a swim and an exciting duck chase!  I had to dry him off before we could continue to film the commercial...the crew cheered Tymer on and had to chase the ducks away with a canoe so that Tymer could stay focused.  We had so much fun!

Hi Sue- Brodie has grown into a spectacular dog. He is a graduate of a Good Citizen class complete with certification from AKC.  His demeanor is mellow, yet enthusiastic. His absolutely biggest passion is fishing.  It's not the catching of fish he gives a hoot about, but rather a passion for the bait cast.  The better the cast the louder the WOOF!

We had a successful trip to the National Labrador Retriever Specialty show held in Warwick, Rode Island in 2005.  Nancy Scholz  of Manora Labradors and I took 16 dogs and placed with a total of eleven ribbons!  Our thanks go out to Cathy, Tracy and Kim as we couldn't have done it without their help.  It rained the whole time we were there but the dogs showed great and we all had good time! Striker took second place in both sweepstakes and regular 6-9 month old class! Crystal did a great job placing 3rd in sweepstakes and 2nd in regular 6-9 month class. Diamond placed fourth from the 12-18 month class with a huge entry.

Can Ch Manora's Designer Goldmine was bred by Nancy Scholz, Bill Genier and myself.  He is better known as Striker.  He finished his Candian Championship and won a Group1st Placement on the same day.  Thank you Mr. Jack Ireland (judge) and Jason Bailey (handler).  It will be a day to be remembered! Jason went to New Brunswick with a van full of dogs in Aug 2007.  Striker won a Group 2nd!  Jason also won two Group 4th placements with his sister's new Schipperke, Kia.  NICE JOB!

Designer's Crystal finished her Canadian Championship under judge Mrs. Paula Hartinger winning three points on Sat Sept 1st, and also under judge Mr. Roger Hartinger on Sun Sept 2nd 2007.  Thank you judges and handler Jason Bailey.

Designer's Rugar went to his first series of shows this August at a five day circuit.  Shown by Jason Bailey, he won three 2nd placements and two fourth placements!

Hi Sue, Just wanted to update you on Perry. We have some exciting news. She passed her tracking test yesterday to give her her first AKC title, a TD (or tracking dog) title at 11 mos. of age .  She's a fabulous tracker. Lots of natural ability. Designer's Silver and Gold (CGC and Share-A-Pet Therapy Dog) retired in 2009 after having her last litter which consisted of a single girl puppy named Designer's Tinsel.  Silver is now living with Mary Jane. Both Mary Jane and Silver have worked very hard to earn a Canine Good Citizen title and a Therapy Dog Title. Congratulations to both of you!
